Mother’s Love and Care…GUARANTEED!

Amber Day Care is a quality Day Care Center run by an educated young mother — Anuja Dwivedi. Anuja has 7 years of work experience in corporates; she had to leave her job when she became a mother so that she could provide quality care to her child. The realization of the lack of high-end crèche services that blend quality with love gave birth to Amber Day Care.
Anuja also works for various Mumbai-based NGOs such as PETA and IDA. Anuja is also the General Secretary of the building complex in which the Day Care is located.

Amber Day Care was born out of a desire to combine service to society with love for children.

Amber Day Care is run by a mother, with the objective of providing a critical service to society in terms of a loving and safe environment for children, coupled with an entertaining and educating time.

Amber Day Care Mission:

The Amber Day Care Value Proposition

Complex

· Locational advantage: The flat is located in close proximity to L&T Powai.

· Very clean and beautiful premises — the area of the flat is 1095 sq ft and is appropriate for around 15 children. The flat has 2 bathroom cum toilets (with western commodes). The flat is well ventilated with sliding aluminum windows and box ms safety grills. There is window AC facility in all the bed-rooms. Vitrified tiles are used for flooring. The flat is around 6 years old and very well-maintained. Godrej pest control has been implemented. The flat is cleaned twice a day with disinfectant.

· Safety—special emphasis on safety with focus on child-safe interiors. The crèche has a fire extinguisher. No furniture or equipment in the house has sharp corners. Household items and electronic items are kept away from the reach of children. The kitchen is barricaded off with a small gate to stop children from going to kitchen. A high ratio of caretakers to children is maintained to ensure that children get personal attention at all points of time. If any child needs to use the lift then that child will be accompanied by a caretaker. Also 25 security personnel guard the society premises—17 in the day time and 16 at night.

· Convenient timings: Amber Day Care is open from Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM to 06:30 PM and on Saturday from 08:30 AM to 01:30PM.

· Personalized care for each child: To give the child the best possible values and care we maintain high child to caretaker ratio. For the children above 1 year it is 4 children to one caretaker and for the children below 1 year it is 3 children to one caretaker. This is done to ensure that every child gets personal attention and doesn’t feel neglected.

· Special attention to child’s hygiene—washing hands, building a child’s sensitivity to hygiene.

· Balanced nutritious food (as worked out in consultation with a nutritionist.)

The child is given a well balanced diet through out the day. The menu of the full week is decided in advanced. Some minor changes due to some reason may be there. The diet followed during the week is as follows.

09:00 AM : Breakfast: Poha/ Upma/ Idli/ Cornflakes/ Oatmeal/ Sandwich

· Documentation of child profile: This document will record specific characteristics of the child, such as age, gender, blood group, behavior patterns, allergies, trainings undergone, etc.

· Documentation of history of child at the crèche: A document will be maintained per child that will record the significant observations/events pertaining to the child (eg. Child learnt to walk 3 months earlier than expected for his/her age, child is a fussy eater and refuses most nutritious food, child got chicken-pox on date dd/mm/yyyy). Parents will have access to this document. If corrective action is required then that will be recommended by the crèche. These recommendations will be documented and parents will be involved in corrective action. This ‘child history’ document will be maintained by Amber Crèche for years, as far as the child is under Amber Crèche’s care.

· Feedback collection: Feedback will be collected from the parents every six months about their satisfaction levels with the crèche service. This feedback form will collect subjective feedback, objective feedback and suggested improvements details.
